Commitment and volunteering were at the center of the many activities of the Landessportbund Berlin in 2021. For International Women's Day, we published portraits of committed people in Berlin, and the response was great. The "Round Table Engagement & Volunteering," which was already launched in 2020, also met twice despite the challenges of the pandemic.
The highlight was the family sports festivals in the neighborhood, which rounded off the sports action field in the EVC year 2021. Here, the commitment to sports of the Berlin clubs was made tangible for all people, whether young or old, in the living environments, in ten Berlin districts, the joy of movement of the Berlin*innen could be expressed. The family sports festivals were also the starting signal for the club campaign "#sportVEREINtuns", with which interested and committed people are to be inspired for sports in the club.
© LSBAt the Volunteer Gala, several representatives from sports clubs were honored by the State Sports Federation for their outstanding commitment, especially in the Corona period. The publication of the magazine "HOCH10" portrayed people with a refugee and/or migration background who are particularly involved in sports.
Commitment and volunteerism will remain the basis for club sports in Berlin beyond 2021. Strengthening and valuing those involved in sports in Berlin remains a central core task of the Landessportbund Berlin. This also includes the further training and qualification of volunteers.
